What We Believe
- A commitment to productive practice on the part of the student is the most important key to testing success.
- Productive practice requires a significant time commitment. Only the student can make this commitment.
- Most students do not fully understand what productive practice entails. It is up to the tutor to define “productive practice” and provide detailed and structured guidelines.
- Tutors must offer direct testing instruction, techniques, and strategies. Students must then practice. Together, students and tutors can reflect on trouble areas and continue to improve.
- Parents can offer encouragement and logistical support, but only the student can take full ownership of the test preparation progress.
The Your Score Mission
To use the college admissions test preparation process as a teaching tool to impart the life long lesson that commitment, perseverance, and a sense of ownership will bring success and satisfaction.
Who is the ideal Your Score client?
The Your Score system will work for students who view their exam score as something they personally create and own. Students also must have the time and the intrinsic desire to commit to the practice and reflection sessions. Students must understand and agree to enter willingly into the system, arrange their schedules to accommodate the system, and be relentless about maintaining the system.
Our Promise:
A student who commits to the Your Score system will feel a personal sense of accomplishment when all is said and done!
